FREE DRAW

I'm sure you're all sick of me talking about this SCALLOP BORDER PUNCH but I'm on an important mission to tell as many people as possible about this MUST HAVE tool - well in my opinion anyway...lol Scallop borders first started appearing last summer and I fell in love with this type of decorative edging immediately. Anita had a pair of the Fiskars Cloud Scissors and after using them I rushed to find a pair for myself. I've taken these scissors everywhere with me - crops that is, not like in my handbag shopping round Tesco's or anything, but you know what I mean. Anyway, I've loved and cared for these scissors until recently when I saw the Fiskars Threading Water Punch. Steph from Homegrown Scrapbooks in the US had bought one along to the Scrapajack Retreat back in May. After seeing it in action I had to have one - as you do. It's been like pulling hens teeth trying to get one but I eventually got one on a pre-order a couple of months back. Little did I know that Stampin' Up! were about to release their own version without the holes! So now I HAVE to have the SU! one and at £10.95 it's less than the Fiskars one and there's no holes so I get more for my money!!! Right?? Now where was I.....oh yer, back to my FREE DRAW. If you would like to purchase one of these Stampin'Up! punches and be entered into the DRAW for one lucky person to receive theirs for FREE, email me at jodumbleton@aol.co.uk by Monday 29th September. There's only two days to go so be quick!! Have a great weekend! Jo :)

What a Bargain!

You know when you find a bargain and feel the need to tell everyone? Well I've got one you might want to know about ......(this maybe a longish post by the way)...
In the old catalogue (p75) there are two card making kits called Simply Sent. One is 'Happy Day and the other is 'Sending Happy Thoughts' priced at £49.95 Well, on the retired list it has been reduced to £39.95 but for World Card Making Day starting 4th - 11th October, Stampin'Up! have reduced this by another 20%!!! The price will be......just getting my calculator out...... £31.96! Crumbs that's..... £18 off the original price!!
Bargain!!
This is what's in the ' Sending Happy Thoughts' kit . Firstly it comes in a pretty box with a band around the middle and inside you will find.....
6 Piece Die-Cut Stamp Set
Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Spot
Old Olive Classic Stampin'Spot
Real Red Classic Stampin' Spot
Card Stock Assortment
Zig Zag Twill Tape
Pewter Brads
2-way Glue Pen
Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter
Stampin' Dimensionals
Mini Glue Dots
12 Very Vanilla Envelopes
The kit will create 10 cards, 5 each of 2 styles, with instructions on how to make both of them. I bought this kit ages ago at the much, much higher price but now at £31.96 it's VERY good value. When you've made the 10 cards, there is loads left over. There's lots of the Zig Zag ribbon, the Dazzling Diamonds comes in a little pot and will go on forever, the glue pen is fantastic (it's not sold seperately in the catalogue), the Ink Spots will last you ages and these can't be bought seperately either, there's more than enough glue dots and dimensionals and most importantly - you will have a very cute set of 6 stamps. All Die-Cut as well!
It would make a great Christmas Pressie and because these sets are on the Retired List, once they're gone they won't be seen again.
Here's the 2 designs that are in the 'Sending Happy Thoughts' kit..
.... and here's a few other designs I created with the stamps....

And do you remember this? All those flowers were stamped with this set, glittered with the Dazzling Diamonds and handcut. It took me an age but it's very pretty.

Anyway, these sets don't have to be ordered on their own, but the price of £31.96 is only valid between 4th-11th October.

Make a note of this one as there will be another Special Offer coming up soon. It's another bargain but I won't tell you about it just yet however the clue is..... it's someone's Birthday! No, it's not mine, that was last week, but they will be 20 years old.

Happy Stampin' and keep coming back as I've more things to share with you.

TTFN,

Jo :)

Stampin' Up! Scallop Edge Punch Tutorial

I've found this on YouTube...

Monday 22 September 2008

It's on it's way

Yes the new catalogue is on it's way e.t.a. Wednesday and I've only a few of the new catalogues, that are on route, left so if you'd like to get your crafty hands on one, email me at jodumbleton@aolc.o.uk. It's £5 including p&p but this amount will be deducted off your first order.
Now I really should be doing the dreaded 'H' word this morning so this is a quick post with two more cards I've made. The first is 'Season of Joy' from the new catalogue using Kraft Card, Old Olive and Real Red, I used the white embossing powder on the Christmas Tree again and also the sentiment down the side. Loving that Linen Thread too (it's in the catalogue) and I used a white signio pen to dot the centre of each of the smaller flowers on the Kraft card.
The second card is the one I made for the Make 'n Take at Julie's workshop the other week. It was modified from one I'd seen on Monica's blog a while back. I wanted to incorporate the wheels and with a bit of bling (oh yes that Dazzling Diamonds again) and it was a pretty quick and cute card to make. The colours are Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue with Brocade Blue ribbon and the set was Big Bold Birthdays.
Another reminder of the draw for the Scallop Border Punch. All pre-orders buy the 29th September will be entered for the chance to get theirs FREE!!
I'll be back with more details of what's in the NEW IDEA BOOK AND CATALOGUE very soon!

Sunday 14 September 2008

Here's a few cards

As promised, here's a few cards from the new stamp sets. The first one is from 'A True Friend' and the other two are from 'Season of Joy'. I've used the Stampin'Up! White Embossing Powder on all the cards - it's lovely to work with as it's really fine stuff and gives such a crisp, dimentional finish. I also sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds immediately after I'd heat embossed so the Christmas Trees are super sparkly - it's not that clear from these photos how glittery they are. So thumbs up for Dazzling Diamonds and if you fancy a bit of bling on your cards, it's a bargain a £3.75 for a 14g pot - it will last you ages!

Don't forget if you want the Scallop Border punch from the new catalogue, one lucky person who orders the punch from myself by 29th September will get it for free! Email your request to jodumbleton@aol.co.uk Orders for the punch will be placed on 1st October.

**This offer applies to UK customers and only through myself as an Independant Stampin'Up! Demonstrator **

Play time...

I've been playing tonight with the stamps sets from the new Idea Book & Catalogue. Hopefully I should be able to upload some photos for you tomorrow. And do you want to know another little sneak? Shhhhh..... don't tell anyone but it looks like we're going to be getting the Scallop Border Punch! If you've seen the Fiskars Threading Water Punch, which is very hard to get hold of, it's very similar. The only difference is the scallops don't have any holes. Much better in my opinion and I already have the Fiskars one. The price is pretty good too at £10.95 + p&p. All this will be confirmed for definate new week when the new Idea Book & Catalogue should be arriving on my doorstep. For all orders of the Border Punch received by Monday 29th September, one lucky person will receive the Border Punch for free! Please email me at jodumbleton@aol.co.uk for further information. And remember, if you pre-order the New Idea Book & Catalogue for £5, this will be refunded against your first order. See you tomorrow! Jo :)

New Stamp Sets

We're getting close to the new catalogue which should be arriving on our doorstep in a few weeks - ordering to commence on 1st October. Demonstrators have been able to buy a few pre-order sets and mine arrived today - they are fabulous! My favourite has to be Season of Joy and I can't wait to get stamping. Plus there is an added bonus... all these sets are already die-cut! I heard on the grapevine that some of the sets would be like this but didn't realise it was these, and it took me minutes to put them together ready to go. - yippeee! :)
So here's the new sets - I couldn't choose which was my favourite at the time so I bought all of them....sssssshhhh, don't tell Paul. :)
If you would like to pre-order your 2008/2009 Idea Book & Catalogue, I will be selling them for £5 inc. p&p however this amount will be deducted off your first order with me. Please email your details and I will be sending them as soon as I receive them - approx. date for delivery is 24th Sept.
I'll be back soon with some samples from the new sets.
Happy stamping!
Jo :)

Beautiful Girl

Having some time out from 'other' stuff has given me inspiration for creating a few Stampin' Up! projects. Plus with a workshop on Wednesday I've really had to get my finger out. I'm on the case though and really looking forward to having a great time. I've had lots of help and ideas from all the girls over at the With Love With Stamping Forum so I hope it will be a success and we'll have a few laughs together.
I made this page last night - it's a very simple one for me but when you use SU! products all the colours go really well together which makes a project so easy to come together. I don't have any alpha stamps (yet) so I cut the title using 'alphalicious' on my Cricut. This really was a quick and easy page to make - the longest part was cutting and sticking the title. My wish list has definately got some alpha's on it now! :)
I used:- Cutie Pie patterend papers, Simply Said stamp set, Brocade Blue Ribbon, Silk Flower from the pretties kit dyed Rose Red, Pretty in Pink c/s. Inkpads:- Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Bashful Blue. Scalloped Cirlce, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" cirlce punches
tfl,
Jo :)

Flip Book

Ok, so here it is - cased from Amy Celona is this fabulous Flip Book! It really is amazing and I don't think my photo's do it justice at all. It looks alot more complicated to make than it really is but the effect of all the different pages that flip over are fantastic. I've used the Carte Postale stamp set with Le Jardin and Rose Red Designer papers and Old Olive, Vanilla and Kraft Cardstock. Ive' also included elements from that adorable Pretties Kit (see my earlier post for 10% off this kit) which really is beautiful - see how I've used the half backed pearls as centres of the flowers? Gorgeous! I showed this book to my DH this morning and even he thought it was lovely and it's very rare that he will WOW over one of my projects! I've still to put a bit of journalling but basically it's now done ready for my workshop on Wednesday. I'm soo pleased with this flip book that I'll definately be making more - they're so much fun!

A little taster

I couldn't resist, I took some photos of the mini book this aftie so here's a couple of sneaks. More to follow on completion.

No pictures.....yet

I've had a lovely night tonight doing what I want to do for a change and it's been wonderful. Julie has a workshop next week and she asked me to do some scrapbooking things with the SU! products. Well I'm soooo pleased with what I've made - it's a mini book. I can't take credit for it as I found the instructions while blog hopping, but believe me you will be blown away. I was when I initially saw it and now having created my own I love it even more. Tomorrow I will add the photos and the finishing touches so you won't have to wait too long to see what it is. I bought a few goodies which arrived at the beginning of the week and one of the items was the pretties kit. OMG! It's beautiful!!! The silk flowers are so silky soft and pure white, there are white and cream half backed pearls in 3 sizes, hat pins and spacers, glass beads and pearls. Honestly it really is beautiful and it comes in a gorgeous clear top tin. I've used some of the items on my mini book tonight which looks so classy. Initially I thought it was quite a pricey item at £25.95 but to be honest it really is quite gorgeous and well worth it. So, until the 30th September I will be giving 10% off the price of the Pretties Kit (£23.35 + p&p). This offer is only available through me. To view the Pretties Kit visit here for the online catalogue, and use the slider to get to page 84. If you wish to take advantage of this offer, please email me at jodumbleton@aol.co.uk. Watch this space for my mini book coming soon ....

Au Revoir my Little Froggies

Come 1st October there is a NEW Stampin' Up! Catalogue and I can tell you I'm sooo excited! This year has been a fantastic one for Stampin' Up! in the UK and although it was all so new to me back in February, I love their products so much for quality, originality and of course co-ordination. Plus everything is all in one catalogue! Do you know I've popped into Hobbycraft on the odd occasion and when I see an aisle of their rubber stamps, it does nothing for me now. The reason for that is it's just a row of stamps - nothing matches, nothing grabs me and the prices are quite unbelievable too! If I see someone browsing I sooo want to ask them if they're interested in a workshop so they can try before they buy and to show them how amazing Stampin' Up! is. Of course I never have, but I know they would be hooked.... if only. So with a new catalogue we also get a Retirement List to make way for more NEW and wonderful stamps and accessories. The retirement list is effective from 1st September and once these sets are gone, they are well and truly gone. There is an added bonus though.......these sets have been discounted so bargains galore!!! My beloved 'Unfrogettable' stamp set is going - I shall miss him as it's my favourite set if you hadn't noticed but having seen a few little sneaks of the new catalogue I can forgive SU! for taking him away from me. (Incase you want to order him he's been discounted from £25.95 to £23.95) The full Retired List is here and you know where I am if you want anything - just drop me an email. I'm off to drown my sorrows over froggie now....
