Pretty and Bright

Another card using the fabulous Stamp-a-ma-jig. It really does make stamping so much easier and obviously, I have less waste. This card was inspired from a video tutorial over on Kristina Werner's blog - the video is here. A fabulous place to visit and she has some wonderful ideas - just love her MACM vids (Make A Card Monday).
The stamp sets are Simply Said, Seeing Spots and the c/s and inks are Tempting Turquoise, Pixie Pink Apricot Appeal and whisper white.

Thanks for looking,

Jo :)

A Posy of Flowers

As it's getting near to my first workshop, well actually my first of three in one week - gulp - I felt the need to make some more cards to display. Pastels are my fav at the mo - I think it's something to do with Easter and Spring. :) This card is so simple and what made it more enjoyable is I've discovered the Stamp-a-ma-jig. A fabulous tool that means your two step stamps will align EVER time! Love it, love it, love it! The stamp set is Simply Sent and I cut out the flowers and 3D them on the card with dimensionals. I made the stems by cutting a length of certainly celery cardstock about 2cm wide and put it through a ribbler (which i purchased from Hobbycraft for £1.99 a few weeks back, bargain!) and then cut the strip into three. I think the rest is self explanitory.

And here's the recipe.....

SU! Cardstock - Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Whisper White

SU! Inks - Pretty in Pink, Pixie Pink

SU! Ribbon - Pretty in Pink and Whisper White

Other - SU! Pink Circle Rhinestones, Dimensionals and Papermania Gem Stones

tfl and Happy Easter!

More of the Choccie Treats

Ok, so here's a few more pics of the scrummy choccie treats I posted yesterday. The tutorial by Vickie Maduzia on SplitCoastStampers is here. I modified mine to be a little bit smaller and the dimensions I used are as follows:- The main cardstock was cut to 8 1/4" x 2 1/4". This was then scored at 2 1/2", 2 7/8", 5 3/8" and 5 3/4". I used various colours of SU! c/s (sorry I didn't make a note at the time) and the same with the SU! ink pads. The corner rounder was used to make the scalloped edges and of course the wonderful scalloped punch and a 1 1/4" circle punch for the window and front decoration. The stamp set was my old faithfull - Seeing Spots. If you make one, please post a comment with a link. I'd love to see! :)

Choccie Treats

I made 14 of these little cuties last night for the girls at the crop I'm going to tonight. They're so easy and yummy. It was a tutorial over on SplitCoasterStampers.
Got to get myself ready for the crop now but I'll post more details and a link later.
