Retreat 2012, Day 1, Class #1

Well what a weekend it has been, absolutely fantastic! I could not of planned it better if I'd tried, it ran so smoothly, classes were enjoyed by all, so much food which was delicious and of course it was the company that really made it. We of course had plenty of laughs and I think this photo says it all really -  happy faces.
The first Class on the Saturday was a Canvas Art using Beau Chateau DSP.
Everyone had seen sneak peaks of the projects beforehand but they didn't know exactly what they'd be creating.

Here's Katie busy with her canvas.
A lovely photo of Julie & Ally. Ally was our Birthday Girl for the weekend.
Katie & Pam

Sam & Ali
And the completed project...
I so enjoyed creating this art canvas. It's something a little different for me.

I think the most rewarding part about all the classes over the weekend was of course everyone's enjoyment but also the fact that everyone completed the classes. No half finished projects taken home.

I'm still on a high from it all and I've already booked the next Retreat for 2013!!

Back soon with more..

Retreat 2012

It's been a few weeks since I last posted but boy, have I been a busy bee!

This weekend I'm away at my first weekend Retreat and it's fabulous! I can't quite believe I'm here on a Saturday night, relaxed, with amazing company, full with food, crafting and very happy. With months of planning, classes designed and prepped, and all the finer details finalised to make it an extra special weekend for those that are here, it's all fallen it to place perfectly. The hotel is amazing, they can't do enough for us, food and drink plentiful, a leisure centre for those wanting to have a morning dip in the pool and overall we couldn't ask for anything better. First class!

It all started yesterday evening at 6pm. My dear old Mum has been my helper for the weekend, not bad for a lady in her 70's. We had so much to bring I borrowed the works transit to get all the boxes and equipment up here. I've no fear of driving anything but the van hasn't exactly been looked after and I wasn't sure if it was roadworthy to make it to Fareham on the M27, but we did and since then everything has gone to plan.

I was that organised I remember to take some photos before we opened our doors to the main craft room! Each delegate received a special goodie bag with extra gifts inside. I handmade each of these myself, even made one for myself, so cute!

Our main craft room for the weekend.
We've unlimited refreshments and even sweeties to snack on! How did they know I love Jelly Beans??
Our evening meal was a delicious Mexican Buffet with desserts to die for. Let's just say the diet has totally gone out the window this weekend!

Today was a full one with 3 classes and tons more food.

I'll be back soon with more on the Retreat, but for now I need my beauty sleep for another busy day install for tomorrow.

See ya soon!

Mixed Bunch

Mixed Bunch is a NEW stamp set in the Summer Mini. It's on page 25 and it comes with a matching punch. We all love Stampin' Up!'s fabulous punches and when they match a stamp set too, well that's the icing on the cake! Unless you like cutting out that is...

We used Mixed Bunch for this weeks class. I received this set FREE at last weekends Regional Training Event - we get a lot of freebies as Demonstrators. If you'd like a taste of the Stampin' Up! Family have a read here. The Starter Kit has been reduced to only £99 and for May only, everyone signing up will also receive a FREE ticket to this years Annual Convention worth £149, and that is one HUGE experience not to be missed!

Anyway, here's what we made at class...
3 cards and a tag. The colour combo is Pear Pizzazz, Perfect Plum, & Melon Mambo.
The NEW pleated Satin Ribbon is so lush.

If you'd like a bundle of the Pleated Satin Ribbon of over 1m in each of the 4 flavours, then have a look at yesterdays post here. All that I had was snapped up but there's more arriving early next week.

Right, must get on. It's the Retreat in 2 weeks and I've got a heck of a lot to do!

See ya soon.

Pleated Satin Ribbon Bundle

On page 12 of the NEW Summer Mini you'll find the NEW 1cm Pleated Satin Ribbon.
OMG, it's more lush in real life than it shows in the picture! So so tactile and it comes in 4 flavours - Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride and Baja Breeze. You'll so want to stroke it, and of course it's stunning on cards and scrapbook pages.

Here's a snippet of this weeks card class where I've used the Pear Pizzazz.

At £5.95 a roll it can be a bit expensive on your purse to buy all of them in one go but how would you like a Pleated Satin Ribbon Bundle? Over 1metre in each of the 4 colours, sent to you for £5.95 plus postage.
(Postage options are 90p First Class or 70p Second Class.)

I've got bundles ready to go if you'd like one.

Email jodumbleton@aol.co.uk for yours.

This NEW Summer Mini is fabulous!

Ready, Steady....it's the NEW Summer Mini!!

From Spring into Summer, although it doesn't quite feel like Summer at the moment with all this rain and wind. So maybe the NEW Summer Mini can tempt you with lots of NEW products to keep you busy while the weather is miserable outside?

Would you like to know what's in the Mini??
Have a look at the pdf here or if you'd prefer a hardcopy, email me with your details and I'll pop one in the post for you.

What have we got then? Lets see...there's lots of lovely new stamp sets including 'Apothecary Art' featured above, more pretty pattern papers - Twitterpated has to my favourite - there's flavoured embossing powders, and when it comes to the Big Shot, well,  there's now FRAMELITS & EDGELITS! I'm so pleased we've got these. I love my Big Shot and I love ALL the dies but having these new ultra thin dies makes a little more room in my overflowing craft room. Bet you can imagine the disaster scene. lol

Another NEW addition to the MINI is....

THE SIMPLY SCORED!!!

I love making 3D projects and boxes, they're a bit of a thing with me.

There'll be lots more info coming soon on the Simply Scored with an event in the next month that will have you making perfect boxes and other projects every time. If you're interested in purchasing the Simply Scored and woul like to know more details of this event please send me an email to be added to my newsletters and you'll be one of the first to hear all about it. If you're too far away to attend the event but would still like to purchase one, the project instructions will be included and sent to you with tips on how to make the perfect, and I mean perfect, boxes every time!

PLUS

we also have an addition metric board that can be purchased seperately (if you're a metric girl or boy) and better than that, we also have...
.
THE DIAGONAL PLATE!!!

Omg, I'm hyperventilating as I write this..lol

Although Demonstrators are able to purchase these new items a month in advance for pre-order we weren't able to get the Diagonal Plate and I can tell you I'm soooo excited we're getting this.

So what does the Diagonal Plate do? Have you ever made a card in a non standard size and not been able to find an envelope to put it in? The Diagonal Plate is going to be the answer to your dreams. It makes any size envelope, in whatever patterend paper or cardstock you like to co-ordinate with your card. Are you like me and have tons of scraps of DSP that you can't bear to get rid of? Well I'm going to have envelopes coming out of my ears when this arrives!...lol

Here's a video on how it works.

Now if you're thinking to yourself, WOW, where do I start? There's even more news to share and this could be the perfect opportunity for you to benefit from getting these extra  NEW products at a discounted rate, as well as on future purchases. So what's this amazing news?

Stampin' Up! have also announced

The NEW STARTER KIT FOR only £99!

The New Kit is fully customizable so if you already have products, you can choose the kit to fit around your crafting needs and requirements. You'll be able to choose whatever you want up to £130  and  they'll  also be a business pack included worth £45. Everything you'll need to start your Stampin' Up! journey for only £99!! (There's FREE shipping on that too.)

There aren't many business opportunities out there that offer such a low starter kit price and it really is an amazing job to have - trust me, I've been doing it for 4 years now and I continue to do so because I get so much from the company and the immense pleasure of my customers/friends.

Not only that.... wait till you hear this!

During May every new recruit will receive a FREE ticket to this years Stampin' Up! Convention in Germany which is worth £149!

Convention is the best, I could go on for hours about what a fantastic time I had last year, but this is rather a long post so I'll stop here and let you catch breath. If you want an incite into what happens at these events, have a look here. There's a slide show taken from last years Convention which was held at Euro Disney, Paris.

I'll be going this year and I'd love you to join me and the rest of the Stampin' Angels for a few days of pure fun.

If you'd like to discuss the opportunity of become a demonstrator, whether it be for an informal chat or just an information pack, please email jodumbleton@aol.co.uk

I'm off to bed now as I can't take anymore excitement for one night.

I'll be back soon with this weeks card class featuring one of the new Stamp Sets.

Be good!
