Sunday's Craft Day Competition Entries

Blimey, 2 posts in one day!! Unheard of I hear you cry. Anyway, before I settle myself down for a little crafting tonight I wanted to show you the fabulous entries that were submitted for the Crafters Choice Competition at last Sunday's Craft Day. I wasn't sure who made everything but I will put names to those I did know. As I said before the standard was fantastic and you'll see what I mean.....
Joan's beautiful jewellery and matching cards

Joan gave these Birdcage earings to my Mum at the end of the day...gorgeous aren't they? Anna's amazing 'New York' Exploding box. The detail was fantastic! Fabulous cards...Such a stunning photo frame...I wasn't sure if this was Ali's or Cath's immaculate Tri-Shutter Album in a tin.. Fleur's amazing Scrapbook page...Aly's 'Beware Pirates' adorable cards and treasure chest...Irene's special card made for me... (wish I was that thin you know). And finally the overal winner from Sue was this diddy mini book/album...so cute!Thank you ladies for putting the time and effort into making these beautiful creations!

We all had a wonderful day, so much so we couldn't get Aly to go home! That's my dear Mum sweeping up in the background. We did laugh and Aly you were such a great sport for letting us take this photo. I'm still chuckling now... he hee. My next All Day Craft Event will be Sunday 17th April. For those on my mailing list, details will be emailed shortly and if you're not, please drop me a line if you're interested in coming along. Have a great weekend!

Owl about this then...

I'm a bit of a bugger for taking photos of things I've made and then forgetting about them, and these pics are a prime example. I made these cards with the Sale-a-bration stamp sets 'Punch Bunch' and 'So Happy for You' 2 weeks ago and then completely forgot I had them! The colours are Tempting Turtuoise, Melon Mambo and Daffodil delight - nice, bright and cheery don't you think?I'm in love with Mr Owl, I'm keeping my fingers, toes and eyes crossed we get more of him in future. And a matching gift bag to go with them. I was intending for the cards to go inside, which they do, but forgot to size for envelopes as well..lol Back to the drawing board on that one...
See ya soon!

Project # 2

I'm in the process of editing some photos from Sunday's Craft Day. It was a such a great day! Everyone enjoyed the projects...well I think they did, the food made by my dear Mum was fantastic, as usual, the company was brilliant and we all went home exhausted but happy. Anyway, here's another project from the day made using 'Just Believe' stamp set. The colours were taken from the 'Woodland Walk' DSP and are Choc Chip, Wild Wisabi, Very Vanilla and Real Red.
I also ran a Crafters Choice competition on the day and the level of each entry was just amazing! I'll be back in the next few days to show you all the fantastic creations made - it was such a hard choice for everyone to pick a winner. See ya soon.

Sale-a-bration Blog Hop 2011

Well it's Blog Hop day and I'm very excited to see what everyone has been creating with the 4 New Exclusive FREE Sale-a-bration stamp sets which are available until the end of Feb. It's always good to get different ideas on how to use them and blog hops are definately a quick way of picking up a few tips. You may have just come via Fiona's blog and I'm sure you'll have seen some amazing inspiration there - she's a very talented lady. I'm just going to show you 'Sweet Summer' today. I did have 'Bliss' as well but it's the usual story...time running away with me again and no time to get the photo's taken. Still, I hope you like what you see. Today I am also hosting one of my All Day Craft Days and 'Sweet Summer' is what we're using for the main project, along with the most gorgeous 'In Colours'. So here goes..

The colours for this set are Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade and So Saffron. There are 2 other combinations too...

...Concorde Crush, Bashful Blue with Pear Pizzazz, and.... ...Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.

I'm in love with this gorgeous Organza ribbon, it's so easy to tie a bow with and for gathering as you can see from this photo. So easy and to me it makes the card seem really lush.

Short and sweet from me today, I'm now off to have some fun!

To continue on with the Blog Hop, visit Claire - another talented lady.

See you soon!

I'll be showing one of the projects we're making at my All Day Event using 'Sweet Summer', plus 'Bliss' which is what I've been using for my workshops - it's gorgeous! If I don't appear beforehand (you never know), hope to see you then! For now though, here's another sneeky peek of one of Sunday's projects....

All Day Craft Day - Sunday 23rd Jan

Well at long last I'm starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for bearing with me on the lack of updates.
