Bordering on Romance

Do you remember the Retreat I did back in May? Here's one of the projects I've at long last got round to photographing. It's a pretty A6 tin decorated in the Twitterpated Designer Papers and using the Bordering on Romance stamp set.
If you like to colour, then this set is for you.

When the belly band is removed there's a pretty design underneath.
And inside there's 3 little notecards with stamped envelopes
I love to colour using my blender pens which are great because you can use them on Whisper White cardstock and with our matching inkpads. There are a few rules to using the blender pens so you get the best coverage without the paper fluffing up - light pressure and circular colouring on small areas reloading your pen often and I always stamp the main image in Basic Gray. Black is just too harsh I think. Stampin' Up!'s Basic Grey inkpad is spot on too as it dries real quick and doesn't seem to bleed when using the blender pen.
With just a little piece of the Pleated Satin Ribbon and a few rhinestones, this is a perfect little notecard set to give as a gift.

Bordering on Romance and the Pleated Satin Ribbon is also in the Summer Mini ending 31st August.

Oh Jo! You picked my all time favorite stamp set for watercolor, and I LOVE to watercolor! Great tip on using the blender pens. I'm teaching a series on watercoloring through October, and I have used the Aqua Painters which you KNOW doesn't work well on the hot pressed papers. Beautiful stationery set, and lovely project!
