It's been a quiet week on the crafting front for me, mainly as it's half term and also I needed a rest from all hard work over the last few weeks from the Extravaganza. I'm back though and today we're on another Blog Hop tour featuring the New Products and Colours that was introduced last month. If you've not seen the new colours there's a flyer on the right hand side of my blog which will tell you all that's on offer. Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Soft Suede are the colours and WILL be in the new catalogue and part of the core colours...yippee!
Ok so if you're already on the tour you should of arrived from
Clare's blog. I'm off to do the rounds myself shortly but I'll bet there's some real inspiration out there - can't wait to see.
Now the NEW Cottage Wall Designer Papers are absolutely gorgeous and are only available while stock last, but that's ok with me as I've bought plenty of supplies to keep me going. As I feel the urge to use them as much as possible at the mo and because I'm back into my scrapbooking lately, I wanted to use them on a layout and I had this photo which I took of Jake last year whilst on holiday visiting the Eden Project.
I know boys and flowers don't really go together but as you can see from the photo it had to be on this occasion and what a match.
I've used Pale Plum textured cardstock as the base and stamped the leaf image from Vintage Vogue in the same colour round the edge. I punched Whisper White cardstock with the Scalloped Edge Punch to give a pretty frame then used the Cottage Wall DSP on to that. The large flowers are the singular stamp 'Flower Accent' (£6.95) which is in the Mini Catalogue and I've used the Rock 'n' Roll technique with Pale Plum and Rich Razzleberry to give it the two tone effect. The centres are from the Flower Brads, San Serif Alphabet was used for the title in Rich Razzleberry and the bird and leaves punched from the fabulous XL Bird Punch which is also in the Mini Catalogue. I few frames stamped from the 'Framed with Love' set and Bob's your Uncle, it's done!
A very simple page and easily achievable.
Hope you like the project and for more inspiration I'll now send you onto
Pat's blog.
Have fun on the tour!
p.s. just noticed I made a boo boo on the date on the Layout...oops!

Adorable scrapbook page. TFS
Love your projects, especially the flowers. I've just got that single flower stamp so I could do the 'kissing' technique but hey, you've just shown how the rock 'n' roll works on plain solid stamps too. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful page. We went to The Eden Project twice on our honeymoon - isn't it just the most gorgeous place?!
